Therese M. Gleason, age 79, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, September 3, 2023 surrounded by family. She was born in Muskegon, MI on October 17, 1943 to Edward and Albertha Loss, who preceded her in death. On July 29, 1967, she married Jerry L. Gleason, the love of her life. She was a proud and successful weight loss coach for 23 years for Weight Watchers and a mentor to many.
Terri’s mission in life was to honor God in all she did and share his message of salvation. She leaves a beautiful legacy of faith and love which she passed on to her family and friends. She enjoyed life to the fullest. Her many hobbies included gardening, baking, painting and camping. She loved watching her birds, laughing with a glass of wine with friends & family and going to Lake Michigan to watch glorious sunsets.
Terri is survived by her sons, Mark (Mary) Gleason and David (Shawn) Gleason, two grandsons, Jacob Gleason and Adam (Emilie) Gleason, seven siblings, Donald Loss (Norma), Roger Loss, Ken Loss (Juanita) deceased, Phillip Loss (JoAnn), Robert Loss (Linda), Michael Loss (Janett), Catherine Pack (Haskel) and many nieces, nephews and her grand-dog, Raelyn Joy. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Muskegon for over 50 years. She was so grateful to have the opportunities to learn God’s Holy Word and to serve Him by teaching others what she learned. She had the tremendous joy to praise and worship Him through the music of the choir and bell choir for many years. In 2012, Terri was licensed to preach the gospel and had the honor to officiate a number of weddings and funerals.
