Steven Troseth, a loved son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2023, at home with family at his side.
Steve was born in Souix Falls, SD on February 17, 1966, to Thomas and Vi (Gunst) Troseth. Steve was raised in Wyoming, MI and graduated from Wyoming Park High School in 1984. He graduated from Western Michigan University and began a successful career as a food broker working for both large commercial and privately owned food distribution companies spanning across Michigan, Georgia, Wisconsin, and Tennessee.
Steve was living in Chattanooga, TN in 2016 when he was diagnosed with a rare form of multiple myeloma. He courageously fought that battle with multiple rounds of chemotherapy and eventually a bone marrow transplant at University of Michigan Health System. He moved back home to be near his family in Hudsonville, MI where he enjoyed making more memories with his beloved Troseth Troop family and close friends.
Steve was known for his love for sports. He was an avid football fan and enjoyed his fantasy football leagues every fall. Steve also enjoyed fishing and never walked away from a good fishing story. He was an avid coin collector and loved playing trivia games and keno.
Steve is survived by his loving mother, Vi Troseth, four siblings: Michelle (Kevin) Moore, Lisa (George) Kopanakis, and Timothy (Patricia) Troseth and David (Kari) Troseth, and twelve nieces and nephews. Steve is preceded in death by his father Thomas Lee Troseth. The family would like to thank close friends Paul Harrington and John Tillotson for their loyal support of Steve and for Faith Hospice for their care and compassion.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Steve T. Troseth from 3:00pm-5:00pm on Friday, February 3, 2023, at Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Avenue SE, Kentwood, Michigan 49508.
