Scott Thomas Barcheski of Grand Rapids, Michigan passed away on Thursday, March 9th, 2023. He was born to Diann Bartnick and Thomas Barcheski on September 26, 1968 in Lansing, Michigan.
Scott was the youngest child in his family and grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Scott graduated High School from Forest Hills Northern. He received his Journeyman's License and worked many years as an electrician. Scott also worked in sales for the last several years.
Scott loved to spend time with his family, kids; Courtney and Zack and his granddaughter, Ellie. He loved animals and would feed the wildlife by his home every day. It brought him great joy seeing all the animals come by to grab a snack. Oftentimes, he would have animals come right up to his deck to say hello to him. Scott's cat, Oakley, provided him so much love and happiness specifically in the past few years when he had trouble with his health. Scott enjoyed spending time outdoors and going for drives during nice weather. He also loved music and playing his guitar.
Scott is survived by his Mom, Diann Bartnick (Jim Borton), his kids Courtney Chandler (Collin and Ellie), Zack Barcheski, his step children, Sydney Robbins (Nick and River), Jesse Julian, and his brother Nick Barcheski. He is preceded in death by his Dad, Thomas Barcheski, his Grandparents, Mary and Lambert Bartnick, and Dorothy and Thomas Barcheski.
Due to Scott not wanting a funeral, the family has decided to hold a celebration of life for him. This will take place on April 16th, 2023 at Briar Barns in Sparta, MI from 1-4pm.
Scott will be deeply missed by his children, grandchild, Mom, family, and friends. He had a huge impact on the lives he touched. Most people will say that Scott was one of a kind. He was filled with empathy, passion, and had a sensitive soul. We will never forget you, Dad. We love you so much.
Those wishing to offer expressions of sympathy are asked to make donations to the West Michigan Humane Society.
