Sandra (Sandy) Kay Masko of Grandville, age 78, surrounded by her family, was called to her heavenly home Thursday, January 12, 2023 after a short illness. She was born to Alvin and Norma (Klein) Grover on May 15, 1944.
Sandy was born an only child and raised on her family farm in Scottville, MI. She was a 1962 graduate of Central Mason High School and attended Muskegon Business College. Sandy loved to sew, knit and ride on their pontoon boat at their home on Bass Lake in Pentwater. In her free time she was an activist against puppy mills. She was a beautiful soul and there was not an animal she did not love, especially her pets Max and Barney.
Sandy will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 23 years, James M. Masko; her children, Dave (Elaine) Begin and Rhonda (Duane) Strating; her grandchildren, Traci Langeland, Kami (Autie Earls) Strating and Alex (Hannah) Strating; great-grandchild, Emmie Earls; brothers-in-law, Kenny (Janet) Begin, John Masko and Gregg Griffis; sister- in-law, Maggie Thompson and her aunt, Marge Schmuldt. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Norma Grover, her husband of 32 years, Charles H. Begin and her daughter-in-law, Arlene Begin.
There will be a celebration of life Wednesday January 18, 2023 at 11:00am at ResLife Church (Chapel Door K) 5100 Ivanrest Ave SW, Grandville, MI 49418 with Pastor Karen Waldhart presiding. There will be a visitation prior to the service starting at 10:00am.
