Richard Joseph Herblet

Richard Joseph Herblet, age 86, of Kentwood, passed away September 28, 2016. He will be lovingly missed by his wife Constance and daughters; Elaine (Dave) Szarowicz, of Grand Rapids, MI, Jonna (Rob) Gionet, of Ontario, Canada, Bethany (Garland) Dahlke, of Ames, IA, and Nichole (Dan) Swiger of Nashville, TN; sisters, Ann Hoffman and Judith Herblet, 8 grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. Richard was an avid hunter and enjoyed many trips with his brothers and uncles. He also loved sports, especially baseball. Richard served in the Navy for four years before becoming a Highway Technician for the State of Michigan at MDOT where he worked for 31 years. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, October 3 at 11:00 am at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 1295 52nd St. SE, Kentwood, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations to Right to Life of Michigan in Richard's honor would be appreciated. Online condolences may be left at www.ofieldfuneralhome.com.
