After a brief battle with cancer, Peggy Lynn Van Eyk peacefully entered her eternal home on September 14, 2023 at the age of 74.
She is survived by: her children, Jennifer (Dave) Ostrowski, Robert (Kelly) Van Eyk, Michael (Teresa) Van Eyk, Jamie Link, Jeff Link; her grandchildren, Cade (Chelsea) Van Eyk, Mason (Tiffany) Van Eyk, Gavin Van Eyk, Elijah Ostrowski, Mia (Nash) Diekevers; her great grandchildren, Lennon and Decker Van Eyk, Corbin and Navy Diekevers; her sisters, Bonnie (Jerry) Skaggs, Melba Schrotenboer and her brother, Daniel Thomann. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Peggy was proceeded in death by her husband Robert Van Eyk Sr., parents Raymond and Ruby Thomann, and in laws Raymond and Rena Van Eyk.
She worked many years at Lifesaver, then went on to retire from Park Township. Peggy loved her genealogy, grandkids (including the neighborhood kids), and spending time with her siblings. We rejoice in her peace and readiness to be with Jesus Christ!
A special thanks to Peggy’s nurse Emily from Spectrum Health Hospice for the compassionate care she provided our entire family over the last few months. We’d also like to express our gratitude for all those who took time to help us care for our mom throughout this time.
The family will receive visitors Friday, September 22, 2023, from 5-8 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 23, 2023, at 11 a.m. and both will be at Lighthouse Community Church, 7624 Lake Michigan Drive, Allendale, Michigan 49404.
