Patricia Smith Obituary

Mrs. Patricia "Patty" Kelly-Smith, age 79, died peacefully Saturday March 11th at Spectrum Hospital in Grand Rapids with family by her side. She was born August 25th, 1943, in Muskegon, MI. She married her soulmate Bud Smith in Muskegon on March 1, 1969. Patty had a zest for life, enjoying social & family events with a Miller Lite in hand. She was always the life of the party, telling jokes and family stories. She loved reading especially exploring her Irish heritage. Her family was most important, and she loved them fiercely.


SURVIVORS: Her brothers, Tom (Jan) Kelly of Muskegon and Joseph (Bonnie) Kelly of Muskegon; 3 daughters, Mrs. Kathy (Carter) Moore of Key West & Mrs. Brandie (Mark) Perry, Mrs. Lori Schelske, 1 son, Jerry Clark - all of Muskegon; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and loving nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bud Smith, mother, Loretta Kelly, father, Owen Kelly; her sisters, Jane Stacey and Mary Fairris; her daughters, Kim Smith and Mary Francis Campbell; her nephew, Raymond Stacey II, and her grandson ,Douglas Schelske Jr.

Patty's Celebration of Life will be held at the Eagles Downtown Muskegon on Friday March 17th 12-4pm. 621 Western Ave. Muskegon, MI 49440. Join Patty's family on St Patrick's Day (her favorite holiday) to share loving stories and many beers.
