James Dever Jr.

James Dever Jr. (aka Mawjacker), age 86, of Dorr passed away peacefully on March 15, 2023. He was surrounded by his family and is now in the arms of the angels.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Michael James Jr.; his parents, James Sr. and Gladys; his brothers, Bob and Bill; his sister, Rose; his in-laws, Ray and Edna Hilaski, Dave and Bob Hilaski, Bill and Norma Schaendorf and Leroy Hancock.

He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Dorothy; his children, Michael James Dever, Dan (Sue) Dever, Darlene (Randy) Terrell, Dawn (Steve) Vogt and Michelle (Rod) Cooper; his brother-in-law, Leon (Cheryl) Hilaski and sister-in-law, Janice Hilaski; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

There will be a Memorial Service at St. Stanislaus Church (1871 136th Ave, Dorr, MI 49323) on March 27, 2023 at 11:00 AM with visitation one hour prior to service.
