Donald S. Wilbur II

On March 1st, 2023 at 9:15pm, Donald Scott Wilbur II passed away at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Grand Rapids on January 4, 1990 to Donald and Barbie (Buth) Wilbur. Donnie was the older brother of Timothy Wilbur.
 
Donnie was an Oakridge Class of 2008 graduate. He attended Culinary School for 1 day to become a Master Chef. Donnie was the most loving man who always had something to say to make you laugh whenever you needed it. When he loved you, he made sure you knew it and felt it. 
 
Donnie was wise beyond his years, loved everything about the outdoors.  Fishing and camping were two of his favorite activities.
 
In 2018 he married his soulmate Shaina (Abel) Wilbur. Together, they may not have had forever but what they had was real. 
 
Among the In-laws Donnie gained, Lillian Gregory, a niece Donnie grew very close to. He also gained a nephew in 2019, and his favorite thing was to teach Declan something new and watch Declan’s mom try and figure out who taught him. 
 
He was preceded in death by his Grandma Ann Abbott, his Grandfather Jim Buth, and his Uncle Gary Buth. 
 
Donnie was loved so very much, and will be remembered by his amazing parents Don and Barbie, his brother and sister-in-law Timothy and Sarah (Rundquist) Wilbur, and nephew Declan. His wife Shaina (Abel) Wilbur. His In-laws, Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. And he will be remembered by his friends that were more brothers than friends. He loved you all and he knew you loved him.

Donnies Celebration of Life will be at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral Home (6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI 49444) on April 14th, 2023. Visitation starting at 3pm and service to start at 4pm. Luncheon to follow.
