Colleen Marie Lehman 62, of Kentwood MI passed away Monday, November 13, 2023. She was peacefully surrounded by her family and friends after a life long battle with cancer. Colleen was by far the strongest woman we know!
She was born on May 3rd, 1961 in Ionia, MI to Samuel Lehman and Jourdaine Billeadeaux.
Colleen was always full of positivity. It didn’t matter how much she struggled, she would always find the strength to crack a joke or look at the positive in any situation. She loved to talk to friends and family, you could easily spend an hour or two talking on the phone with her. She was always the first to help anyone in need no matter if it was the shirt off her back or food in her pantry. She loved living her spiritual, native life, going to sweat lodges/workshops and loved mediation, where she would embrace the mind, body and spirt! Goodbyes are only for those who love with their eyes, because for those who love with her heart and soul, there is no such thing as separation.
Colleen is preceded in death by her mother,Jourdaine(Jody) Billeadeaux, son Wesley Elliott. She is remembered by her sister Joni (Terry) Utting of Hudsonville, Brother Mark (Terrill) Tasker of Trinity, AL, Aunt Renee Martemucci of Lansing, children Heidie Elliott, (Calvin Judge)of GR,mi, Jacob (Madison) Elliott of Wayland, mi,(daughter in-law) TiLisha Elliott of Hastings, mi, grandchildren Keona Elliott,Treasure (Perry), Landin Elliott,Beckham Elliott, Deion Elliott, Jasmine Elliott, Kaden Elliott and 1 great-grandchild La’veah Baker.
