Many hearts are heavy due to the loss of one of its most beautiful and carefree souls. Adela Mary Foltice passed away peacefully in her sleep during the early morning hours of April 4, 2023, leaving behind her loving husband of 45 years (Douglas Anthony Foltice) and her two sons (Nicholas and James Foltice). Adela is also survived by her older brother (Anthony Lomonaco) and younger brother (James Lomonaco).
The number of friends and other family members mourning her departure and celebrating her memory are far too long to list.
She was a faithful and loving wife, a devoted and nurturing mother, as well as a kind-hearted and generous friend to so many. Adela remained young at heart her entire life- rather it be traveling the world or simply playing cards with her girlfriends. She enjoyed every moment. She was a naturally gifted artist excelling at many mediums including stained glass, sculpting, and painting.
She was a lover of all animals, especially her three dogs (Lucy, Bernie, and Rupert). She volunteered at the Humane Society and even took in and cared for many strays throughout her life. She was very charitable working with organizations such as Family Promise and Goodwill; donating food and clothing to those in need. She would give a stranger the shirt off her back, the cash in her pocket, or a cold bottle of water on a hot sunny day. She was one of a kind.
Her light shined so bright and warmed the hearts and souls of so many people throughout her years on this Earth. She was special and loved and had a unique way of making others feel the same way. She will be missed deeply, but her memory and essence will live on through everyone that had the pleasure of knowing the one-in-a-million, Adela Mary Foltice
Adela’s Song
So many words left unspoken
So many hearts suddenly broken
Like a softly sung tune we’ll cherish inside
With loving memories she’ll be our guide
Feeling her love, it helps us go on
We’ll never forget Adela’s song
Her fate it was, as everyone does
To enter the gates of Heaven above
She will always shine on in all of our love
We will miss you forever, Adela.
