William Joseph Yob, Jr., age 69, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 5, 2021. Bill was born on October 3, 1952 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Effie (Reus) Yob. Bill will be greatly missed by his wife, Sandra (Leenhouts) Yob; children, Matthew (Melissa) Yob, Jeremy (Christine) Yob, and Sarah (John) Pitsch; nine grandchildren; sister, Monica Yob; his many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Bill graduated from Grand Rapids Catholic Central High School, class of 1970. He attended the University of Notre Dame, and Detroit Mercy Law School where he obtained his law degree. Bill worked as an attorney for over 35 years and was a member of the State Bar Association of Michigan. He enjoyed golfing, gardening, NASCAR and wine tasting. We will forever hold him dear in our hearts. William will be celebrated at a mass of Christian burial at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Parish, 2275 Diamond Ave NE, Grand Rapids. A visitation will take place on Tuesday from 10:00 until the time of service with a Rosary at 10:30 a.m. There will not be any other events following the service. Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 16, at Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Service Details. Visitation
