William P. Tiemeyer, Jr. of Grand Rapids passed away June 21, 2015 at his home surrounded by family and friends. He was carried home to heaven by angels. Bill was a skilled carpenter who loved to hunt, fish and spend time with family and friends. Bill was dearly loved and will be missed for his kindness, humor and generosity. He was preceded in death by his father, William and his nephew Adam Olszewski. He is survived by his wife Kathy and step-daughter Randi Flynn, mother Joanne Tiemeyer, brothers Rick (Carol), Doug (Carol), and Dan, sister Debbie (Joe) Murphy, children Joshua, Ashley (Ben) Spaanstra, Kate (Justin) Beuter, Cody (Alyssa) Tiemeyer, in-laws, John (Pat) Olszewski who was a special friend and brother-in-law. Sisters-in-law, Judy (Tom) Vander Meer, Linda (Howard) Becker, Terri (Ray) Popma, Kelly (Eric) Utter, many nieces, nephews, 5 grandchildren and his dear friend Bruce Smith. Funeral services celebrating Bill's life will be at 7:00 PM Friday, June 26th at Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Kentwood, MI. Visitation will be held at 5:00 PM until time of service, Marcie & Dave Bell officiating.
