IN LOVING MEMORY OF
William Walter
Heindrichs
November 28, 1943 – February 6, 2025
William Walter Heindrichs went to his Heavenly home surrounded by family, with his wife laying by his side and Willie Nelson playing in the background.
William, known to all as Bill, was married to his beautiful wife Wanda for nearly 57 years. He is preceded in death by his parents William and Margaret Heindrichs and his brother Robert. He leaves a large family behind; his brothers Charles (Loretta) and Karl (Sally). His sister Sharon (Herb) Fish and sister-in-law Jan Heindrichs. His children Traci (Jeff) Goodson, Laurie (Don) Hoogerhyde, Sandy (Doug) VanTimmeren, Debbie (Eric) McIntosh, 11 Grandchildren and 16 great Grandchildren. Bill had three special friends, the late Jim Ragsdale, Bill Nerli and Jerri Vanderlaan.
Bill worked at GR Label Company his entire career. It was his love and dedication to this company that added joy to his life.
Let me tell you a little about the man we love so much! He loved U of M and all of their sports teams -- Go Blue! He loved the outdoors, his perfectly manicured lawn and his love for rocks is evident in their backyard sanctuary. He loved Miller High Life and took a sip the day before he passed. He loved the UP, especially Hurricane River & Porcupine Mountains. He loved trips to North Carolina. He loved painting pinecones, gourds for hanging outside and beautiful outdoor planters. Painting brought him happiness. We will leave you with some wise words from a man who leaves a hole in our lives. "I'm not a sir, I'm a hey you." Well Bill, let us tell you something, you were way more than a "hey you" to us. We thought you walked on water. Thank you dad for everything, "We love you more because we are bigger" -- his famous line.
We will have a celebration of his life with his family and friends in the summer of 2025. He asked for this happy occasion in lieu of a funeral.
