William (Bill) Charles Halstead, age 68, of Allegan, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at 3:45 p.m. with his family by his side.

He was born on March 12, 1955, in Kalamazoo, the son of George and Dorothy (Beldon) Halstead.  He grew up and graduated in Otsego.  He met his wife, Leah Skinner, in Allegan in 1982.  They were united in marriage on May 7, 1983.  They were married for 40 years and had two boys.

Bill was a welder by trade, loved to ride his Harley, was an avid collector, and was an artist.  More than anything, he loved a good home cooked meal and spending time with his family.

Bill was preceded in his passing by his parents.  Left to cherish Bill's loving memory is his wife, Leah Skinner Halstead; kids: Isaac (Julie Thomas) Halstead and Isaiah (Alli) Halstead; grandkids: Kendall, Kashton, and Knox Halstead; siblings: Dale Halstead, Eileen Boylan, Ruth Halstead, Becky (Gabe) Sheppard, and Linda Blair.

There will be a celebration of life from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at his home, 593 30th St, Allegan, MI 49010.  The luncheon will begin at 4:00 p.m. Pulled pork and drinks will be provided.  Please bring a dish to pass.  The ceremony will start at 5:00 p.m., at which time we will sprinkle ashes around his beloved barn.
