W. Dennis Arndt, beloved husband, brother, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully into the arms of his Savior on March 24, 2025, at the age of 87. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on February 20, 1938, Denny was a kind and compassionate person who touched the lives of many with his smile and warmth.
Denny was an engineer and project manager throughout his career at Eastman Kodak, where he was known for his hard work and innovative ideas. He also found joy in gardening, photography, model railroading, and woodworking, and was passionate in his love for serving others and his Lord. Denny is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Jean (Downs) Arndt, his children, Sandy (Vince) Westendorp, Paul Arndt, and Russell (Rebekah) Arndt, his grandchildren, Andrea (Brandon Allard) and Nick Westendorp, Katrina and Adalyn Arndt, Ben (Sage), Sam and Rachel Arndt, and his beloved sister, Donna Arndt Jovin. Denny will also be missed by his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, many nieces and nephews, and dear friends. He was predeceased by his parents Howard and Ruth (Dennis) Arndt, and his niece Suzanne Jovin.
A memorial service will be held at Storypoint Grand Rapids East (2000 32nd St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508) on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Christ Church PCA in Grand Rapids, Michigan and Faith Hospice - Grand Rapids in Denny's memory.
