Wendell "Allen" Craft, aged 66, of Jackson, Michigan, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2025. Allen was born in Jackson on March 30, 1959, to his loving parents. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, humor, and a lifetime of service to his community.

Allen was a devoted family man and is survived by his wife, Dawn M Craft; daughters Mykayla (Zachery) Lee and Victoria Draper; grandchildren Emma Cole, Ivy and Ky Box, and Asher Lee. He also leaves behind his mother, Sharon Craft; sisters Laurie (John) Humphrey and Amy Vainner; mother-in-law Helen Miller; brother-in-law Rich (Kim) Miller; sister-in-law Courtney (Jamaal) Shabazz; and numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces. Special people he considered family,  Preston and Cylie Cole, and Dave and Rhonda Wheaton. He was predeceased by his father, Wendell Craft; father-in-law Leland "Lee" Miller; and grandson Liam Asher Lee.

Allen was a lifelong fan of the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions. He spent his career (47 years) as an electrician, purchasing Craft Electric from his father in 2000, and serving as the owner until 2015. His dedication to his craft was surpassed only by his commitment to his community, as he generously donated his time and materials to churches, widows, the elderly, single parents, and others in need.

Remembered for his compassion, wit, and sense of humor, Allen's presence will be deeply missed by all who had the fortune of knowing him. His life will be celebrated at a Memorial Service on Friday, August 8, 2025, starting at 11am at Village Hope Church, 123 W Porter St, Jackson, MI 49202. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10-11am. A private burial will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, envelopes will be available at the church to help the family with final expenses.  Any remaining funds will be placed in a trust for his grandchildren, honoring his final wishes.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude towards Courtney & Laurie who helped with his care in the end as well as Henry Ford palliative care nurse, Michelle, In home hospice nurse Tami, and the staff at the hospice home.

Allen Craft left a lasting impact on the hearts of those he touched, and his legacy will continue to inspire those who carry on his memory.
