September 10, 2011 Service: September 13, 2011 Virginia Torres (Contreras), aged 80, of Grand Rapids, died peacefully Saturday, September 10, 2011 surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Torres. Virginia will be greatly missed by her loving children, Gloria Ortiz, Maria (Mike Davis), Olivia(Lupe Rios), Robert (Sally Torres), Lucia Arizola, Oralia (Julian Corrales), Rosalinda Torres, Victor Torres, Josefina (Raphael Hernandez), Juan (Mary Torres), Ricardo Torres, 30 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. She was a loving wife and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, September 13 at 10am in Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 101 Hall SE with Reverend Theodore Kozlowski officiating. Entombment Chapel Hill Cemetery. A Rosary will be recited Monday evening at 8:00pm and the family will meet with friends Monday 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo SE and Tuesday 9-10am at the church.
