Virginia M. Hammond (Adams) passed away peacefully on July 28, 2018 at home with her family by her side. Ginny was born on October 31, 1927 to Carl and Margarethe Adams in Toquin, MI. In 1947, she married Stuart Hammond and resided in Doster, MI. She is survived by her husband and 3 sons, Michael (Wanda), Paul (Charlotte) and Phillip (Theresa); a brother Dave, and sisters Donna, Shirley and Martha. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 34 great and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Bill, Kernel, Violet and Carla. Ginny graduated from Kellogg Schools in 1946. She worked at KVP, as a mail carrier in Plainwell and as secretary for Hammond Electric from 1954 until her retirement in 1995. Ginny enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and being with her family. She attended Hickory Corners Bible Church. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 14 at 4 p.m. with visitation at 3 p.m.at Hickory Corners Bible Church (13720 Kellogg School Road, Hickory Corners, Michigan.) Pastor Jeff Worden will officiate the service. A luncheon will follow the service.
