March 28, 2015 Virginia Angell, age 96 of Alto, Michigan formerly of Englewood, Ohio passed away Friday, March 27, 2015 at home. A private family service will be held at a later date. Virginia was born August 24, 1918 in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of the late James "Whitey" and Elizabeth Wine. She married Heber "Happy" Angell in 1944 and he passed away in 1988. Virginia was also predeceased by her sister, Rosa Mae Hullihen. Virginia is survived by two sons, Randy Keith (Pat) Angell of Alto, Michigan, Barry Alan Angell of Arcanum, Ohio and former daughter in law, Dorothy "Diane" Angell. She is also survived by her grandson, David C. Angell of Charleston, South Carolina. She has three step grandchildren and six step great grandchildren and four step great great-grandchildren. Early in life Virginia was athletic. She was on a canoe team and she love to ballroom dance. Virginia was a bookkeeper for many businesses and an Office Manager for a medical laboratory in the Dayton area. She tended her award winning flower garden for forty years. She was skilled at cross stitch. Her cooking skills were phenomenal and she was known for her holiday dinners for family and friends. She traveled all over the world but one of her favorite places was near Traverse City, Michigan looking for Morel mushrooms.
