Vicki Lynn Gaviglio, age 67, peacefully entered the gates of heaven on June 7 2022. She will dearly be missed by her husband of 36 years, Jim Gaviglio and daughters Jamie (Andy) Madden and Dana (Jim) Sturrus. Vicki was a loving grandmother to her 5 grandchildren, Conrad, Hayden, & Lily Madden and James & Owen Sturrus. Surviving also are her parents Fred and Bea VanderPloeg and brothers Scott & Jeff (Dale Towne).

After being diagnosed with glioblastoma in June 2021, she fought the disease with immeasurable strength and Grace. Throughout her life, she was known to live a life with unfading joy and a contagious smile.

She leaves a huge hole in the hearts of her family and friends who were always entertained by her generous spirit and fun-loving nature.

She made friends with ease and had a seamless way of connecting different social groups making all feel welcome. She lived an active life and loved to ski, play tennis & golf. Many of her friends refer to her as "Captain Vicki" as she loved to be on the water whether it be boating or swimming.

Visitation with the family is on Thursday June 16th from 4-7 pm at Cascade Christian Church. Funeral service is Friday June 17th at 2 pm with a reception to follow. Both service and reception are being held at Cascade Christian Church, 2829 Thornapple River Dr. SE Grand Rapids, MI 490546.
