Vicki was a beloved sister, aunt, great-aunt, and friend whose life reflected her deep love for God and unwavering faith. She trusted the Lord with her whole heart, and that faith sustained her through both joyful moments and profound challenges. Her gentle spirit, kindness, and compassion touched all who knew her.
Vicki was a proud graduate of East Kentwood High School, Class of 1975. Throughout her life, she demonstrated remarkable perseverance. She survived two separate vehicle-related accidents that resulted in traumatic brain injuries, bringing many physical, emotional, and daily challenges. Through every hardship, she showed incredible courage, resilience, and strength. Her steadfast faith and determination to keep moving forward were a powerful testimony to her trust in God and her quiet inner strength.
Family meant everything to Vicki. She treasured her role as an aunt and great-aunt, finding joy in the lives of her nieces and nephews and delighting in watching her family grow. She also shared a special bond with her beloved Maltese dog, Sugar, who preceded her in death.
Vicki was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Elma Baker; her brother-in-law, Ron Williams; and her beloved dog, Sugar.
She is survived by her loving sisters, Kim Williams, Mary Ruthven (Lenny), and Kelly Baker (Doug); her cherished nieces and nephews, Shannon Widing (Matt), Colleen Chivis (Gerry), Shaina Tubergan (Casey), Hunter Ruthven (Samantha), Dillon Ruthven (Alysha), and Nick Baker (Mary); and her many beloved great-nieces and great-nephews; Amariya Chapton, Braelon Chapton, Jaliyah Chivis, Hudsen Tubergan, Hadley Tubergan, Haven Tubergan, Hazel Tubergan, Brynlee Ruthven, Beckham Ruthven, Wesley Ruthven, Scottie Ruthven, Belle Baker, Violet Baker, and Declan Baker.
Vicki and her family were deeply grateful for the compassionate and exceptional end-of-life care she received from Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods, whose kindness, dignity, and support brought comfort and peace during her final days.
A Celebration of Life for Vicki will be held at New Amsterdam Village Condos Clubhouse, 7905 Cottonwood Dr., Jenison, MI 49428 on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Family and friends are welcome to gather in remembrance, reflection, and celebration of a life well lived.
