Tarrien, Veronica Ruth "Roni" aged 69 of Grand Rapids went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, May 2, 2017. She is survived by her brother, David (Sharon) Tarrien and several aunts and uncles, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Roni was preceded in death by her father, Ivan Tarrien, mother and step-father Garnett and Marvin Botma and her beloved sister Marlene (Tarrien) Clark. She leaves behind special friends and staff at Spectrum Health Long Term Care-Kalamazoo Avenue. She became a voice for those who needed an advocate. Her positive attitude, happy spirit and concern for others will never be forgotten. She was always at the ready with a joke to make people laugh. A Memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at 11:00 AM with visitation 1 hour prior at Ofield Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Spectrum Long Term Health Care 4118 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508 or the American Cancer Society.
