January 26, 2015 Service: January 31, 2015 Vernon J. Wilkins at age 84 passed away January 26, 2015 at his home in Caledonia, Michigan. Born on October 20, 1930 to Alfred and Evelyn Wilkins. Vern was a dedicated family man who enjoyed camping and boating with his family. He was also an avid bowler. Vern retired from Steelcase in 1991 after 35 years. Vern and Dolores were able to enjoy retirement by traveling in their new motorhome. He was preceded in death by his wife Dolores of 57 years; three sons James, Rex and Robb; brother Al. Surviving are his sons Dan and Barry (Nikki); daughter-in-law Martha; Grandchildren Jimmy, Amy, Rex, Hailey and Alexander; brothers Bob, Don and Jerry. Friends can meet with his family Saturday from 2-4pm at the Ofield Funeral Home.
