Obituary

Verlo A. Tillottson, 52 years (dated January 18,1969) married to Ruth A. Tillottson, is survived by three daughters: Karleena, Kathy & Patrick, and Kellie & Rick. He passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 7, 2021.

Verlo was a loving husband, "Pa," and grandpa. His grandchildren, Maggie, Ian, Olivia, Matthew, Aaron, Steven, Kyran, Zorah, Matthias, and Ashlinn will miss him greatly.

Verlo was born in Hesperia, Michigan. He was the youngest of five siblings (survived by his sweet sister, Vivene, preceded by Viola, Virgil, and Violet) that grew up in Hesperia, MI.

He honorably served eight years in the United States Air Force. He retired after more than 30 years of work at General Motors/Delphi Automotive Plant in Wyoming, MI. He was passionate about his retirement time in Arizona, hunting, dogs, horses, racing, and practical jokes. His work ethic and commitment to family were exemplary.

A memorial visitation will be held from 2:00 until 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2021, at Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Avenue SE, Kentwood, MI 49508.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the memorial service for Verlo will be celebrated by Pastor Dean Prentiss at Wesley Park United Methodist Church following visitation for the immediate family. Under the auspices of the United States Air Force, military honors will be performed at the memorial service,

The service will be live-streamed and friends and relatives are welcome to view the service at Kathy's home during a continued time of fellowship and refreshments beginning at 4:00 p.m. at 1125 Royal Oak Street SW, Wyoming, MI 49509-- those attending should park near the basketball hoop in the church parking lot.
