After battles with heart disease, osteoporosis, arthritis, and dementia, Sister Velma Follett fell asleep in Jesus and breathed her last. Born in Niles, MI to Arthur and Edna Zimmerman, she was baptized in Jesus' Name and filled with the Holy Ghost speaking in tongues at age 8. She married Robert Follett who passed away in 1954. They had one child, Gary. She was a member of the Apostolic Faith Church since the 1940's. She sang and did what she could for acquaintances, friends, family and saints. She was hard-working, sweet, friendly, generous, tenderhearted and holy. Visitation is at Ofield Funeral Home on Friday, 12/1/17 from 4:00-6:00 PM. The recorded funeral will be at her church on Saturday, 12/2/17, at 11:00 AM. Write any memories of her and give them to her son. "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints."
