Tracy passed away after a brief illness on Sept 7, 2018 Tracy was born in Okaton, South Dakota, daughter of John & Anne Oldenkamp. She was preceded in death by four of her five brothers; Al, Bernie, Rich, and Ben Oldenkamp. Tracy is survived by her five children; Barb (Craig) Lindley, Linda (Mike) Jones, Jerry White, Tammie (Roger) Weeks, and Trudy (Mike) Nobel; 17 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson; her brother Bill Oldenkamp and many nieces and nephews. Tracy moved to Michigan from Okaton, South Dakota in 1936 with her family. She was the eldest of 6 children and grew up on Kreuter Road in Rockford. Tracy drove bus for Cedar Springs Public Schools for 27 years and loved her job there. She was known for being very strict, but also for having fun and joking with the kids. She loved it when she saw the kids that used to ride her bus all grown up. She also loved sewing, gardening, and she was a great cook. She always had big Sunday dinners for her family when they lived on the farm. In later years she loved to go to auctions and find what she thought was treasures but her family teased it was junk. She also enjoyed painting and selling lawn ornaments after retirement. Tracy lived a very full life and was very loved by her family. The family will receive friends and family at 10:00 am Tuesday, September 11, 2018 before the Memorial Service which will be held at 11:00 am. Both will be held at Solon Center, Wesleyan Church, located at 15671 Algoma Ave, Cedar Springs, MI 49319. Any memorial donations in Tracy's name should be made to the Solon Center, Wesleyan Church.
