Traci Renae Vorel of Grand Rapids, Michigan, age 37, succumbed to cancer after a courageous battle on the Lord's day Sunday June 19, 2022. She was the cherished daughter of Scott and Carol (Rogell) Vorel, born on July 13, 1984 in Grand Rapids.

Traci was the youngest of two children. She graduated from Forest Hills Northern High School in 2002, and continued her education at Grand Rapids Junior College receiving a bachelor's degree in social services. Through the years, Traci waitressed and clerked at restaurants and hotels. As a young girl, she was in Girl Scouts as a Daisy, Brownie and Junior scout. She participated in gymnastics and was a cheerleader in middle school. She loved going to the waterpark and sailing on Reeds Lake with grandma Vorel and her cousins. She loved camping, VBS and Sunday School. She played the flute and competed in Odyssey of the Mind where she and her team advanced to the World level one year. Traci loved to travel and her two dogs; Foxy and Coco. She had a beautiful smile and saw beauty in everything. She was introspective and loyal. Traci will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Traci now is singing with angels and in the loving arms of her heavenly Father thanks to her savior Jesus Christ. Traci is survived by her parents, and her brother Brad. Also survived by her 5 aunts, 6 uncles; Peggy Rogell, Bill (Evie) Rogell, Emily (Allen) Heath, Allan Vorel, Rick (Sherry) Vorel, Mark (Juanita) Vorel, and Jack Carlsen and fourteen cousins; Jeremiah (Karla) Rogell, William Rogell, Theresa Rogell, Matthew (Jen) Rogell, Diana (Craig) Bradley, Lynette Rogell, Jake (Jessica) Pilczuk, Sam (Erin) Pilczuk, Mary (Aaron), Reif, Christina (Chad) Adams, Colleen Vorel, Josh (Cathy) Vorel, Elizabeth Vorel, and Jake Vorel.

Traci is preceded in death by grandparents Harry and Charlotte Rogell, Allan and Patricia Vorel; aunts Cheryl (Vorel) Carlsen, and Karel Vorel; and cousin Daniel Pilczuk.

There will be a memorial visitation at Ofield Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 28 from 5pm-7pm. The family would like to thank all involved in Traci's care at the Lemmen-Holton Cancer Center.
