IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Tobin Lee
Bidleman
April 11, 1973 – May 4, 2021
Tobin Lee Bidleman, 48, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at Metro Health Hospital in Grand Rapids, after a brief illness. He was born April 11, 1973 in Traverse City, to the late John Kenneth Bidleman and Nancy Margaret (Lehrbass) Bidleman.
Raised and educated in Suttons Bay, Tobin left his hometown for a life of many adventures including becoming a Dead-head and following the band, the Grateful Dead, for a couple of years. He was the quintessential jack-of-all-trades. You could find him working as a chef in a quaint restaurant, harvesting cherries in Suttons Bay, renovating houses and furniture, and landscaping in the Florida heat.
Tobin never met a stranger and was a good friend to everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed by all, especially, his greatest accomplishment, his son, Tobin Dante Venegas of Grand Rapids; his brother, Derek (Susan) Bidleman, of Burton; his sister, Becket Korson, of Windsor, Missouri; four nieces: Maghan (Ryan) Cox of Leeton, Missouri; Ashley (Davin) Werths of Windsor, Missouri; Helena and Mary Bidleman both of Burton; four nephews: Cody Korson of Traverse City; Matthew Treshock of Windsor, Missouri; Jacob and William Bidleman of Burton; two great-nephews: Rowan and Royce Cox of Leeton, Missouri; one great-niece: Brooklynn Werths of Windsor, Missouri; three aunts: Lois (Robert) Solem of Suttons Bay; Rose Holland of Acworth, Georgia; and Deanna (Roger) Allen of Kansas City, Missouri; a host of cousins; and special friend, Susan Lambke of Grand Rapids.
In addition to his parents, Tobin was preceded in death by his infant sister, Rebecca Ann Bidleman.
Burial service will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery (Keswick) in Suttons Bay, followed by a Celebration of Life event at a later date.
