Tina M. Balsitis, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister, passed away on November 10, 2024, at the age of 56, in the peaceful town of Dorr, Michigan. Born on February 24, 1968, in Lafayette, Louisiana, Tina's life was a vibrant journey that touched the hearts of all who knew her.
Tina's spirit and joy were a beacon of light throughout her life. In 1987, she married her high school sweetheart, Francis Balsitis, and together they built a life filled with love and laughter. Their union was blessed with three wonderful children: Amber, Dawn, and Daniel, who then expanded the family circle with their own spouses and children. Tina's role as Grandma to Natalee, Savannah, Styles, McKinlee, and Hazel was one she cherished deeply, and her grandchildren were the apple of her eye.
Tina is survived by her devoted husband of 37 years, Frank, her children Amber (Zak) Sherman, Dawn (Randy) Thurston, and Daniel (Ashley) Balsitis, Tina's legacy of love and care is evident in the family she nurtured. Tina was preceded in death by her parents-in-law, Richard and Ann Balsitis, whose memories she held close to her heart. She often spoke of them with fondness and respect, honoring their influence in her life and the lives of her family. An avid lover of life's simple pleasures, Tina found joy in time spent at the lake, where she was an enthusiastic water skier. The thrill of the wind in her hair and the splash of the water was a source of endless happiness for her. Tina also had a penchant for scratch-off lottery tickets, always hopeful for that lucky win, and her optimism was contagious. Above all, Tina valued the cherished time with her grandchildren, instilling in them the importance of family, love, and the joy of being together. Her warm presence at family gatherings, her ability to turn any moment into a celebration, and her unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Tina M. Balsitis lived a life full of passion, love, and joy. Her memory will continue to inspire and comfort her family and friends, as they remember a life beautifully lived and a woman dearly loved.
