Timothy James Salik of Grand Rapids, MI, age 56, passed away peacefully but unexpectedly in his sleep on Monday, November 15, 2021 and joined his Heavenly Father and other loved ones who joyfully welcomed him home.

He fought a very hard battle, suffering from debilitating strokes for many years.

Tim was a graduate of West Catholic High School and went on to receive his Bachelor's Degree from Davenport College. He also obtained numerous computer certificates and a certificate in sports fitness and nutrition.

He was always very thankful to those who gave him opportunities to learn and work beside him with his disabilities.

Tim and Betty were married in the Fall of 2001, creating many wonderful memories throughout the years, including their recent 20th Anniversary celebration.

Tim will be remembered for his heart of gold and his never ending smile. He was an inspiration to many and encouraged others to always smile and choose to have a good day. He will be dearly missed by family, friends and his loving supportive church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Rosemary Salik; Uncles John Alkasses, David Abraham, Jack McIsaac; Aunts Wedot Attala, Jannette McIsaac; cousin Mike Attala, and Bob Eleveld. Surviving are his loving wife, Betty; mother-in-law Nancy Walters; brother Micheal (Ruth) Salik; sisters Nancy Salik, Cathi Heyboer, sister-in-laws Judy (Kevin) Gault, Barbara Walters; nieces Marissa (Matt) Watkoski, Morgan (Tim) Evans; nephews Conrad Cuncannan, Colin Gault; great niece Madelyn Rose Watkoski; Uncle Herb Attala; Aunts Adele Abraham, Nola Alkasses, Peg (Gary) Mitchell; many cousins and their families.

A Celebration of Life will be taking place.
