Tuyen (Timothy) Tai Phan of Holland, Michigan passed away on May 26th, 2018 due to Stage 4 Terminal Cancer. Tuyen graduated from Godwin High School and shortly after, fathered 3 sons with his first wife while also completing his Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering at ITT. Tuyen was a very simple man and lived a very simple life. He did his best to make sure everyone was happy. His presence brought life to the room; there were always those dry humor jokes. Life wasn't always perfect for Tuyen. About 15 years ago, his life was almost taken by hyperthyroidism and complications with hepatitis B. Thankfully the Lord heard our prayers and helped cure his illness. We can all be extremely grateful to the Lord for answering our prayers, allowing him to live much longer than expected and to create more memories with his children. He passed away in peace and with knowledge his family is going to be taken care of. He passed away with not just goodbyes, but with the ease of knowing he is going to be with his father again. Tuyen was dedicated to his work and always made sure his family came first. He loved fishing, cooking, and spending time with his loved ones. He was preceded in death by his father, Thang Phan. He is survived by his mother, Hoa Phan, 3 brothers & 4 sisters, his significant other, Van Nguyen, 6 children; Hung Phan, Thao Phan, Huy Phan, Myduyen Phan, Mylinh Phan, Mytien Phan and his granddaughter, Evelyn Mai Phan, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and other loved ones. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 31st and Friday, June 1st from 6pm to 9pm at Ofield Funeral Home (4500 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Kentwood). Funeral service will be on Saturday, June 2nd at 11am with visitation at 10am at Our Lady of La Vang (2019 Porter St SW, Wyoming).
