Obituary

Timothy Day Mongar of Cedar Springs, passed away suddenly at his home on January 20, 2025 of natural causes. He was 61 years old. Tim was born to Leo and Nancy Mongar on January 22, 1963 in Greenville, MI.

Tim was a truck driver for many years and enjoyed being on the road until his health would no longer allow him to drive his big rig. He liked to play his guitar and spend time with his wife and their grandchildren. Enjoyed being outdoors in the fresh air, listening to God's word on audio and even did a little crocheting. He is survived by his wife Penny (Kronewitter) Mongar, Daughter Susan Kiste, Son Michael Mongar both of Cedar Springs. Three step sons, Andrew Kellogg of Howard City, Matthew Kellogg of Morley and Kyle and Caitlyn Kellogg of Sand Lake. Step daughter Mindy (Kiste) Foster of Missouri. Sister Tina (Dennis) Merryman of Newaygo, Brother James Lawton, Sisters April Canfield and Amanda Graham of Cedar Springs. Tim is preceded in death by his father Leo Mongar, mother Nancy (Lawton) Kiste and two brothers Jerry and Mark Mongar.

Services will be a Celebration of Life to be held at City Impact in Cedar Springs on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at 2:00 pm, officiated by Pastor Jonathon Bergsma.
