Timothy "TJ" Hollis Jr., age 41, of Grand Rapids, joined his heavenly Father on Saturday, April 16, 2022, surrounded by his loved ones in his home.

He was born on February 5, 1981, in Heidelburg, Germany, to his military parents Timothy Hollis Sr. and Ventrice Kim (Hendreson) Hollis. He accepted Christ at a young age at Glad Tidings Apostolic Church under the leadership of Pastor Bernard Kendrick. TJ was an adventurous person who loved spontaneous trips and traveling. He enjoyed anything involving the river or being on the water and fishing. He also liked to go camping with friends and family. He loved cook outs. If there was food involved, he would likely be there.

TJ is survived by his lifetime partner, Gina Corner; daughter, Kaelynn Corner; stepson, Xzavier Corner; parents: Timothy (Atalaya) Hollis Sr. and Ventrice Kim Hollis; siblings: Aaron Hendreson, Shauntea Hollis, and Rebecca Hollis; grandparents: Magdalene Hollis and Bernice Hendreson; beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews; many chosen close brothers and sisters; Jerome (Angela) Griffin; Danny (Brit) Santos; and Tasha Anderson; and many more.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers: Freddie Hendreson and James Hollis; aunt, Angela Clarington; uncles: Donnell Woods and Quinn Martinez; and cousins: Nathaniel Hollis, Emani Hall, and Elijah Wrancher.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 22, 2022, at Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Kentwood, with a celebration of TJ's life to follow until 12:00 noon. A private family hour will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Service Details. Visitation
