Obituary

Timothy Raymond Douglas, age 55, of Allegan, passed away peacefully at home on May 5, 2026, after a courageous battle with stage 4 adenocarcinoma cancer. He was surrounded by love, his wife Josephine, Everna Gray, and his closest friends, Richard Peet and Tony Predum, while listening to his favorite classic rock music.

Born on February 1, 1971, Tim was known for his unforgettable smile, larger-than-life personality, and willingness to help anyone in need. He never met a stranger and could light up any room he walked into.

Whether he was turning a wrench, casting a fishing line, or simply driving around enjoying sunshine, Tim lived life his own way- fully and freely.

Tim worked throughout his life as a career mechanic and truck driver. He loved working on cars and spent countless hours helping friends, family and neighbors fix wherever needed fixing. If the weather was nice, you could usually find him fishing, enjoying water sports, watching football or trying his hand at frisbee golf.

Above all else, Tim cherished his family. He was deeply proud of his children, Bud (Brittany) Arndt of Allegan, Courtney (Josh) Braham of Allegan, Victoria (Dustin Deloach) Davidson of Kalamazoo, Rebecca (Joey) Dearduff of Coldwater, Sydney Brasseaux and Alice Douglas of Columbus. He was also a proud grandfather to eleven grandchildren, Kameron, Evan, Emmett, Lyle, Conner, William, Mason, Charlotte, James, Renezmae, and Lillee.

Tim shared many years and built a beautiful family with Lisa Brasseaux from 2003 to 2022.

In one of life’s greatest love stories, Tim reunited in August 2023 with his middle-school sweetheart, Josephine (Babbitt) Douglas, who had carried a crush on him since they were young. Though life had taken them down different roads after Tim moved to Florida with his parents, the two found their way back to each other and became inseparable. Tim Married his long-lost love on March 6, 2026, surrounded by deep appreciation that true love had brought them back together.

Tim is survived by his brothers, Kevin Douglas of Zanesville, Roger Doolin of Inverness and Paul Douglas of Plainwell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Douglas and Rosalie (King) Douglas; his sisters, Kathy Douglas and Crystal Bailey; brothers, Terry Douglas, Kelly Douglas and Mike Douglas.

Per Tim’s wishes, he was cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held on June 13, 2026, at 4:00 pm at Castle Park Otsego MI aka Northside Park, where family and friends will gather to honor the laughter, love, music, stories, and memories he leaves behind.

Timothey Raymond Douglas will be remembered for his kind heart, helping hands, adventurous spirit, and the love he gave so freely. His memory will live on in every fishing trip, every classic rock song, and every smile shared among those who loved him.
