IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Thomas Vance
Rozema
January 4, 1954 – August 3, 2024
Thomas Vance Rozema, age 70 of Lowell, passed away with his family by his side at his home on Saturday, August 3, 2024 after a short battle with cancer.
Tom, the eldest of four children, grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan and graduated from Grand Rapids Central High School. Tom was a factory worker for most of his life, including Amway and Litehouse. More recently, he worked as a clerk at Meijer gas station in Lowell. Tom lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures: spending time with friends and family, fishing and boating at Derby Lake, riding motorcycles, watching baseball, and playing euchre and cribbage. He had a green thumb and enjoyed the beauty of flowers. He couldn't sit still and was an exceptionally hard worker, often finding pleasure in work. He was a reliable and devoted friend, making new friends everywhere he went. He accepted everyone with an open heart, open arms, and a perpetual smile. He was quick to forgive. His legacy will live on for generations to come, inspiring those around him with his kindheartedness, generosity, contagious smile and unforgettable spirit.
Tom was preceded in death by his mother, Charlene Berg; step-father, Gene Berg; father, Carl Rozema; and sister, Susan VanderWeele. Tom will be lovingly remembered by his children, David (Mandy) Rozema, Kyle (Ashley) Rozema, Matthew (Alecia) Rozema, Anna (Fritz) Ball, and their mother, Marta Rozema; grandchildren, Braedon, Claire, Preston, Jack, Kenadie, Saphira, Remy, Alton, Graham, Colin, Vance; brothers, David (Sandy) Rozema, James Rozema; brother-in-law, John VanderWeele; and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 25th at the main Fallasburg Park Pavilion, 1124 Fallasburg Park Dr NE, Lowell, from 3pm to 6pm.
