IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Thomas
Orsborn
October 30, 1956 – May 14, 2025
Thomas Orsborn, age 68, passed away May 14, 2025. He was predeceased by his parents Nikki and Robert Orsborn. Thomas was dearly loved by many and was survived by his wife, Michelle Orsborn, sister Tammy Davison, nephew Mike Davison (Kristi Davison) and Amanda Klingenberg (Kyle Klingenberg), and his ten great nieces and nephews (Tyler Davison, Ashley Davison, Corey Davison, Olivia Myers, Esmay Klingenberg, Cole Topham, Zander Topham, Braxton Davison, Laker Davison, and Kade Davison). He was born in Bellefountaine, Ohio with his parents and sister. Later on in life, Thomas and his wife moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan where they have lived for the past 19 years.
Thomas was an avid reader and enjoyed reading during his free time- mostly enjoying fiction novels. When he wasn't reading, Thomas also enjoyed traveling alongside his wife Michelle- some of their favorites destinations being Shipshewana, Frankenmuth and Mackinaw Island. He also enjoyed visiting Fredrick Meijer Gardens. Thomas was a sports enthusiast, specifically for Michigan sport teams. He made sure to always root for them to win against Ohio State whenever they played against each other.
Amidst his time in Ohio, Thomas was actively involved with the youth through their Church. They went on many mission trips in Tennessee through the Tennessee Outreach Program (TOP) for many years. He enjoyed being a mentor to all the students apart of the youth group and attending these mission trips. Moving to Michigan- Thomas has been actively involved in his Church, Kentwood Baptist Church, for the past four years. His involvement included being apart of the Board of Trustees. In the few short years of attending, Thomas and Michelle have built a close knit community with the other members.
Thomas had a deep love for his wife. Every Saturday morning, he made sure to pick up flowers for Michelle at his favorite grocery store, Horrocks. He will be deeply missed by many but know that he is in a much better place with our Lord Jesus Christ.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at Kentwood Baptist Church. Visitation will be held at 10 am, followed by the funeral at 11 am, and a luncheon to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to The American Heart Society would be appreciated.
