On the evening of October 23, Tom O'Rourke peacefully passed away. The Woodland Hospice provided a calm and serene setting for both Tom and the family. He is survived by his wife Valerie; children Doug and Barb O'Rourke, Virginia O'Rourke and Clay Collier, Cathy and Eric O'Rourke-Wendrick, Mike and Cindy O'Rourke; grandchildren Tim, Bailey, Kelsey, Katja, Corey, Hunter and Hunter; great grandchildren Mike, Kennedie, and Karter; brother Michael O'Rourke; brothers-in-law David Mulleney, Vance and Ann Howe. He was preceded in death by his son Timothy. Tom worked for Michigan Consolidated Gas Company as a gas research analyst until his retirement. Tom spent the last 22 years at Canadian Lakes. Tom and his wife loved to play bridge, travel, spend time with family and Tom always had a book in his pocket to read if he had time-usually a book a day. Tom's sense of humor and breadth of knowledge will be missed by all who knew him. Private services were held Sunday.
