Thomas Russell Karel of Irving Twp., born 4/10/1952 in Kentwood, MI passed away August 9, 2016. He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Karel, sister and brother-in-law, Nancy(Bill) Vandekieft, and sister-in-law Carol M. Karel. Thomas is survived by his mother, Betty Karel, of Kentwood, MI, brothers Steve Karel of MD, and Doug(Diana) Karel of Kentwood, nephew Brad(Dorothy) Vandekieft, nieces Paula(Bob) Louagie and Isabela Karel, and many friends and relatives. A memorial service will be held at Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Ave., SE, Kentwood, on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at 7:00 PM. Visitation will be at 6:00 PM.
