Obituary

Thom Cooper age 66 passed away peacefully at home after a long illness. His wife of 21 years Patti Trudeau-Cooper was by his side, along with their loving dog Murphy. He was the son of Lloyd (Joy) Cooper, Sr and Esther Murphy Byle (deceased). Thom owned and operated Competitive Gutters for 25 years and served the Grand Rapids and surrounding areas. Thom had a deep passion for all types of music and the Caribbean Islands. This passion took Thom and Patti to hundreds of concerts, plays and musicals. They blessed the Caribbean with their presence 18 times. His favorite island was Jamaica. Each summer they enjoyed camping on a little piece of heaven overlooking Lake Michigan. Thom, his brothers, friends and father enjoyed many fishing trips on Lake Michigan catching salmon and the Tittabawassee River catching walleye. Thom wanted to say, "Thank you Patti for everything you have ever done to make my life better". A Celebration of Thom's Life will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the 84th Street Pub and Grill in what we will call the "Rolling Stones Banquet Room", 8282 Pfeiffer Farms Drive, Byron Center, Michigan 49315. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Faith Hospice 2100 Raybrook St SE, Ste 300, Grand Rapids, Mi 49546.
