IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Thomas John
Breen
October 2, 1954 – May 31, 2016
Tom Breen, age 61 of Sparta passed away on May 31 and entered his heavenly home following a brief and courageous battle with kidney cancer. He was born to John and Edith Breen and worked on the family farm, where he learned the value of hard work and appreciated a job well done. He owned and operated TJ Construction building pole barns for many years. Throughout his life he demonstrated a deep sense of character and integrity. He was a devoted Christian and an active member of Rockford United Methodist Church. He read his bible daily and music spoke to his heart. Every Sunday morning before he left for church he would play hymns on his coronet. Those who knew him will miss his great sense of humor and his unsurpassable patience. He had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren, always making time for them and loved attending their sporting events and school performances. He was a model of kindness and generosity. He left a beautiful legacy to his wife, children and grandchildren on how to live life. Tom and his wife Cindy were blessed to have many memories of traveling, hiking, jeeping and boating while exploring the beautiful waters of northern Michigan. They enjoyed playing games and cards with friends and watching the Detroit Tigers and the Michigan State Spartans. He is survived by his wife Cindy and his daughters and sons-in law; Angie (Tim) Bosch, Jacalyn (Brian) Royston, Heidi (Chase) Bolen; his nine adored grandchildren; David, Dan and Hannah Royston; Ryan, Aaron, Dylan and Carson Bosch; Liam and Aidan Bolen; his father, John Breen; sisters and brothers-in-law; Kathy (Karl) Hanes, Rosalie (Dick) Stroven, Dianne (Jeff) Carlson, Nancy (Dan) Murray and RuthAnn (Dennis) Norman, and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
