Theresa A. Sullivan of Ionia, Michigan, passed away on Monday, February 5, at the age of 93. She was born to Stephen and Mary Fortier on January 15, 1932 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Theresa was the oldest of four children in her family. She graduated from Flint High School, and went on to attend Aquinas College for three years.

In her free time, Theresa loved to shop, spend time with her family and grandchildren, and gardening. She had a love for audio books, listening to them each night before she went to sleep. Theresa retired from the department of corrections, where she worked for about 15 years.

Theresa leaves behind her four children, Mike Sullivan, Tim Sullivan, Pat Sullivan, and Maureen Williams. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Suzanne, in 2007, as well has her parents, sisters Marilyn Heibel and Annette Schmidt, brother Stephen Fortier, five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

Theresa's family would like to thank Elara Hospice for their continued care and compassion throughout Theresa's illness.
