IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Theresa Lynn
Sherwin
June 6, 1962 – March 15, 2022
Theresa Lynn Sherwin of Rockford, MI, age 59 joined her angel army in heaven on March 15th, 2022. She was born to John and Pamela (DeRegnaucourt) Mooney on June 6th, 1962 in Grand Rapids, MI.
Theresa was the first born in her family, raised farming and remodeling homes often with her father, mother and younger brother. She truly loved being helpful as a young lady whether it was babysitting, cleaning for a neighbor or fixing cars alongside her father. She had an incredible love for animals, if ever there were any needs to tend to on the farm she would always be willing and ready. That love of farming carried through to her adult life. Theresa thoroughly enjoyed gardening during the summer months, her garden would make even the finest of green thumbs envious. Her love for animals showed just how kind and gentle her heart truly was, there wasn't an animal she couldn't give you an interesting fact about and would show them all such immense love. She believed they were the most unconditional love you could find here on earth. By far her most treasured and prized accomplishments in life were her family. Her love for her daughter, son in law and grandchildren is a love that will never fade. Her selfless, never wavering, strong, vulnerable, unapologetic love is what made her such an incredibly beautiful person to those who knew her. She was a wonderful friend whose gift of a listening ear, understanding and acceptance was truly cherished by those closest to her. There are not any words beautiful enough to describe her, she was most definitely one of a kind.
Theresa is survived by her children Jacob and Susan Schoonmaker, her grandchildren Jaidyn and Jacob Jr. Schoonmaker and her loving friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and aunt who are welcoming her home with loving, open arms.
Theresa's celebration of life will be held on Friday, April 1st, 1pm at Pederson Funeral Home, 127 N Monroe St., Rockford, MI 49341. The family would love everyone to join them for the catered luncheon to follow around 2:30 at Pierson's Red Barn 190 Grand St., Pierson, MI 49339.
