Theodore (Ted) Siereveld Jr., age 90, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Retiring from General Motors after 34 years of service, Ted enjoyed traveling the world, backpacking, woodworking and watercolor painting. Most important to him was spending time with family and friends and always helping others when needed. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Patricia (Bolter) as well as his children, Theodore III, Timothy (Denise), Thomas (Terry) and Kathryn (Ric) Ferwerda. Ted is also survived by eight grandchildren: Rebecca (Nick) Girard, Robert (Colleen), Brendan (Elizabeth), Casey (Katy), Stacy (Dave) Peacock, Nathan (Kokie Zimmerman), Andrew (Catherine) and Toni Ferwerda. Great-grandchildren include: Jack, Luke, Fiona, Benjamin, Stefan, Eleanor, Grace and Graham; sisters, Shirley Folkertsma and Norma (John) Andree; brother-in-law, Jon Hamelink; in-laws, Phyllis Doornbos and Richard (Rita) Bolter, along with many nieces and nephews. Ted's family wishes to thank Dr. Mohammad Saleh and nurse, Stacy Zandee of Mercy Health for their exceptional care and support during his illness. A celebration of Ted's life is being planned for late Spring.
