Obituary

Terry Lynn Storey, a beacon of joy and cherished soul, completed her earthly journey on November 20, 2025, at the age of 71, in the same city where her story began, Grand Rapids, Michigan. Born on February 5, 1954, Terry cultivated a life rich in laughter, adventure, and an unwavering dedication to those she loved.

Throughout her years, Terry's work at Challenge Manufacturing was marked not only by dedication but also by the genuine connections she formed with her colleagues. Her infectious smile and hearty laugh often filled the room, turning coworkers into lifelong friends and transforming the workplace into a community.

Family was the cornerstone of Terry's world. She was the loving mother to Lynn and her husband Brian Hudson, Dixie Storey, Melissa Kuikstra. She was the adored grandmother to Cody and his wife Brittney Taber, Alec and his wife Sarah Codman, Austin and his wife Alanna Nguyen, Bethany Deimel, and J2 Deimel, Roman Taber, Zayden, Xena Nguyen, Tyler and Colby Ho, Kevin Ho, Athena, Brantley and Jr. Ho, Cherrish Hudson, Elayshia and Elijah Hudson, Chelsea, Bb Torres and DaVinci Torres. Each child and grandchild was a precious thread in the tapestry of her life, woven with love, care, and indelible memories.

Terry's sister, Ruth Collins, shared a bond with her that transcended mere sibling ties, filled with shared secrets and unconditional support. Aunt Myrtel held a special place in Terry's heart as her "beloved Aunt," and her many nieces, nephews, and cousins were all touched by her generous spirit.

An avid lover of life's simple pleasures, Terry found joy in the thrill of the open road, riding on the back of motorcycles with her dear cousin, Margie and their close-knit group. These moments of freedom and camaraderie were the essence of her adventurous spirit. Terry's laughter was a gift she gave freely, and her readiness to share a joke or a funny story made every gathering memorable.

As Helen Keller once said, "Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all." Terry embodied this sentiment, embracing each day as an opportunity to create joy and seek out the beauty in the world. Terry's legacy is one of love, laughter, and the precious gift of her presence.

Her absence will be felt deeply by all who were fortunate enough to know her, but her spirit will continue to inspire laughter and courage in the hearts of her family and friends. Terry Lynn Storey's story does not end here; it lives on in the cherished memories she leaves behind and the immeasurable impact she made on the lives she touched.
