Terry Russell Stingley, made his transition on March 9th, 2019 at the age of 61, with his sweetheart, Tami, at his side. A Renaissance man with great passion, he was also known as Rev. Terry from Earthbound Weddings. He and his wife, enjoyed uniting couples all over southwest Michigan and Indiana. His affection for wine and adventure led him to becoming a Sommelier, wine purveyor and enthusiast. He was known around town as 'The Wine Guru' and made regular appearances on WKZO radio, The Richard Piet Show, and on WSJM's,The Pat Moody Show. He was a champion for quality Michigan wines. Terry also had a contagious spirit for world travel, the wilderness and protecting it, writing, good food, laughter, deep thoughts, carving big mountains on skis, and music. He especially loved Jazz and his hometown, New Orleans, always cheering on the Saints. He ranked in Shinkendo; the art of the Japanese sword, that he took up to help him battle through a three year bout of Lymphoma. He is the author of the book 'Nocturnes' and has had poetry published around the world. He and his wife founded Earthbound Yoga in 2004, teaching classes to fellow yogis in the Michigan and the Cleveland area. Terry served in the Navy for 10 years as a submarine hunter, serving on aircraft carriers. He spent his last month surrounded by the Angels of Rose Arbor Hospice. Leaving many footprints in the sand, his charm, wit, words of wisdom and his zest for the finer things in life will surely be missed! Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Mona Sue Lewis and Charles Stingley. Terry is survived by his wife, Tami Stingley, His brother, Charles Stingley, and his sister, Cheryl Ilgenfritz.
