Obituary

Terry Dean Rossell, Sr., of Cadillac, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at his daughter's home in Paw Paw, MI. He was 68. Terry was born November 22, 1947 in Cadillac to Raymond Sr. and Ernestine (Lindeman) Rossell, who preceded him in death. Terry attended school in Hoxeyville and then started work at a very young age on the farm. He worked at Kraft Foods before his 27 year tenure at DJ McQuestion & Sons. Terry was proud member of Operating Engineers Local 324 for over 40 years. Terry loved his family and was proud of his colorful and lively clan, including the trio that he got into trouble with. He truly enjoyed being around his grandchildren and pestering them. Terry enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors and working on vehicles after his retirement. While some may have considered Terry's car interest an obsession bordering an illness, it was evident that his endless hours in the garage was merely a hobby in his eyes. Survivors include his four children: Tammy (Scott) Miller of Bellevue, Terry Rossell, Jr. of Mesick, Shawna (Chris) Crain of Paw Paw, and Andrew (Jennifer) Rossell of Mattawan; grandchildren: Zack (Stephanie) Jager, Keegan (Briana) Stier, Drew and Alyssa Crain, and Alexa and Lydia Rossell; siblings: Patricia Otberg, Nancy Root, Robert (Audrey) Rossell, Mary (Gary) Clough, Sally (Bill) Junites, Diana (Dick) Heydenberk, Betty Roth, David (Cindy) Rossell, Karla (Chuck) Wright as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond Jr. and Billy Rossell, sister Donna Mitchell, brothers-in-law Jack Mitchell, Wayne Root, and Arden Otberg, and nephews Steven Junites and Mark Mitchell. A special thank you to Candi and the entire Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan family that cared for Terry during his illness. A memorial service will be held at 2:30pm Saturday, April 30, 2016 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 701 State Street, Luther, MI with visitation prior to the service at 1:30pm. Luncheon to follow at the church. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice Care of SW Michigan or Habitat for Humanity.
