Teresa "Terri" Meyer Wilson, a resident of Kentwood, Michigan, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, July 26, 2026, after a long illness and sudden complications. She was 65.

Terri was born on Sept. 4, 1960, in Sycamore, Illinois. She is survived by the love of her life and soulmate, her husband of 27 years, Thomas Wilson of Grand Rapids, Michigan; her brother, Galen (Carol) Meyer; her sister, Kristine (Allen) Hogue; her niece and nephews, Lauren, Lane, and Kennan (Sophie) Meyer; and her grand-nephew, Cameron Meyer.

Terri spent much of her career in sales and kitchen design, working at Lowe's, Home Depot, MasterBrand Cabinets, and Standard Kitchens. She also shared her unmistakable voice as a commercial voice artist for radio and television advertisements and, for a time, as a deep-voiced late-night radio DJ that listeners came to recognize and enjoy.

An artist at heart, Terri brought creativity, passion, and a flair for the dramatic to everything she did, reflecting her bachelor's degree in design and minor in art history. She was loving, generous, and endlessly creative, with an infectious enthusiasm for people as much as for life's little treasures.

Meeting someone new was never intimidating to her. She would walk up to complete strangers, hold out her hand, and say, "Hi. I'm Terri. You look like someone I'd like to talk to. Shall we?" More often than not, she walked away with a new friend.

Terri delighted in collecting beautiful things—clothes, jewelry, and baseball caps—but her greatest collection was the friendships she made throughout her life. She loved the thrill of discovering an unexpected treasure at Goodwill or another thrift store, and she took just as much joy in sharing those finds and the stories behind them with the people she loved.

A private family gathering was held on Sunday, Aug. 2, to celebrate Terri's life, say goodbye for now until we meet again in heaven, and scatter her ashes at a beloved lakeside spot that she and Tom had returned to together for nearly 30 years. Terri was cremated under the care of Ofield Funeral Home in Grand Rapids.
