Obituary

Tammie Lynn Watkins, 60, of Coldwater, Michigan, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2025. Born on October 16, 1964, in Coldwater, she spent her life bringing warmth, creativity, and compassion to everyone she met.

Tammie devoted much of her career to the hospitality industry, where her kindness and ability to make others feel at home left a lasting impression on countless lives. In her earlier years, she also enjoyed success as a Home Interiors saleswoman, bringing beauty and comfort into many homes.

Family was the heart of Tammie's world. She was a proud and loving mother to four children: Haskell Workman, Elisha Beatty, Shawn Beatty, and Janae Mowrey. She found immense joy in her role as a grandmother to her 10 grandchildren—Alissa Toon, Dalton Toon, Bentley Branham, Elena Paradine, Mariah Beatty, Brooke McVicker, Makayla Yuhas Jones, Preston Wronikowski, Arika Wronikowski, and Kahalisey & Harper Workman—as well as her great-granddaughter, Maeve Toon.

Tammie shared a deep, unbreakable bond with her five sisters, who remember her as a best friend, partner-in-crime, and a constant source of love and laughter.

A passionate animal lover, Tammie was an advocate for rescue animals and participated in many rescue efforts alongside her children. Her home was filled with love—and the joyful chaos of her beloved pets: five dogs (Tiny, Vinnie, Buster, Tei, and Adora) and two cats (Baby and Simba). She had a special affection for horses and found comfort in their strength and grace.

Creative and full of life, Tammie enjoyed sewing clothes for her animals and crafting custom handbags. Her handiwork was an extension of her generous spirit, stitched with care and love.

Tammie will be remembered for her warmth, humor, resilience, and the way she made everyone—human or animal—feel like they mattered. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she touched, especially her family, who will carry her memory with them always.
