Schiebergen, Suzanne 9/9/1951 - 2/19/2023  Suzanne (Sue) LaPorte Foster Schiebergen, 71 of Kalamazoo, MI died 2/19/23 after a long battle with heart disease and lung cancer. Sue was born to Mary and Lawrence LaPorte in Kalamazoo, MI on 9/9/1951. She grew up in Kalamazoo and graduated from Kalamazoo Central in 1969. She married Gary Foster in 1970, and had a daughter, Nikki, in 1973. She later married Jack Schiebergen in 1978, moved to Ludington, and had two children, Janis in 1981 and Andy in 1983. While living in Ludington she enjoyed spending time at the beach, at the State Park, and loved having her family visit in the summer. She enjoyed canning, baking, Christmas and spending as much time with her grandchildren as she could. Preceded in death by her parents, brothers Larry (Butch) and Jim LaPorte and several nephews. Survived by her children Nikki Lindland (Jarrett Reid), Janis Verhage (Jason), Andy Schiebergen (Ashley), sister Marie Janssen, brothers Richard (Elaine) LaPorte and Thomas (Paula) LaPorte, grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. There will be no services at this time. In Lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society, The American Heart Association, or a charity of your choice.
